The Pogayan
Dear friends I saw an interesting program
Called “Mountains of the monsoon’ in the Discovery Channel. This program is about the experiences of the wild life hotographer Mr.Sandish kadur who lived in the beautiful western ghats, high mountains in Southern India, for one year and took photos of unamed frogs, horses with horns etc. But the main thing he was looking for was the pogayan.
Pogayan is a wild cat that comes and goes like a mist; the meaning of pogayan is the mist. He himself saw it once ten years ago. He wanted to photograph it and a show it to the world. It is an unknown animal. Aborigines who live in the mountains Have also seen it. The pogayan is a large cat with a long Tail. It looks like a leopard but it is not spotted.
If you want to know more about it go to the website www.scienceblogs.com Or you can see the program on BBC or discovery.
